Nicholas has spent his whole life …

… exploring reality, and how we can understand and successfully navigate it. In the last twenty years, this has distilled into a passion for human transformation, and how to construct safe, effective, and uplifting transformational relationships.

He’s a scientist and ex investment-banker, turned psychospiritual adventurer and transformational coach. He brings a unique and diverse mix of personal, professional, and psychospiritual capacities and experiences to bear on catalyzing transformational journeys.

Combining unconditional acceptance with raw authenticity (and a good dose of irreverent humor), Nicholas meets clients where they are, and provides expert and powerful assistance in helping them get to where they truly want to be.

Professionally …

Nicholas worked as a management consultant and investment banker, culminating in leadership of a team of fifty professionals and successful management of a billion-dollar+ portfolio, through volatile and uncertain economic times.

In parallel, he acquired a qualification in accountancy and finance, and studied economics at the University of London, and investment management at London Business School.

In this phase, his primary motivation was in-practice exploration of human psychology, and how it functons in the complex worlds of work and money, both individually and collectively.

His practical, financial, inter-personal, organizational, and executive experiences in this arena create a strong grounding for professionally-oriented coaching.

Scientifically …

Nicholas studied mathematics and then theoretical physics at Cambridge, and computational neuroscience at UCSD.

Over the past ten years, he has developed a new approach to the science of consciousness, integrating physics, neuroscience, and first-person subjective data.

The broad scope and precise detail of Nicholas’ scientific work rarely comes up explicitly in client sessions. But it provides a powerful background, and crucial conceptual content, for consciousness coaching (the essence of transformation).

Notably, Nicholas’ scientific work is the engine for helping clients over ‘Rationality Barriers’ of all kinds - even if clients don’t perceive or present a barrier in a science-related way!

Spiritually …

Nicholas had a spiritual awakening in 2001, complementing his conventional-material/rational trajectories in business and science, and connecting him with a whole new dimension of the human condition.

Since then, he has studied and worked in a wide range of psychotherapeutic, personal-growth, and spiritual modalities, ranging from Native American shamanism to Buddhist Tantra to non-dual monotheism, as well as in integrative frameworks such as Spiral Dynamics and Integral Theory.

Recently, he originated an extension of Richard Harvey’s Sacred Attention Therapy (or ‘SAT’) called ‘SAT-C++’, integrating psychotherapy, non-dual spirituality, and modern science.

He is certified as a SAT psychotherapist, and as an executive coach, in Michael Neill’s transformative coaching school.

In Client Work …

Nicholas brings all-of-the-above - and more! - to client sessions.

His international, scientific, professional, relational, and family experiences ground client work in everyday reality. And his psychological and psychospiritual skills and capacities connect clients to the transformational … even the transcendent.

One unique and helpful specialism he offers is overcoming Rationality Barriers of various kinds: helping conventionally-rational/scientific people to work in transformational modalities that might otherwise appear to be ‘supernatural’ or ‘woo’ … without relinquishing their valuable logical-mindset.

Whatever Nicholas’ transformational focus is, people find his work to be ‘deepening’, ‘enriching’, ‘inspiring’ … 'practical’, ‘benefitting all areas of life’ … ‘exceptional’, ‘different’, ‘leading-edge’. (And: ‘hilarious … but in a good way’!)
